The Chalfonts

The Chalfonts Local Community Area has a population of almost 22,000 comprising the three parishes of Chalfont St Peter, Seer Green and Chalfont St Giles.  The key settlements within the area are Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Chalfont Common although Amersham, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Rickmansworth also provide important services nearby.  The A413 is a key route for the community linking it with Amersham and Aylesbury.

Transport Matters event

This event gave the public the opportunity to make comments on the AAP and transport in the local area. The main issues raised are as follows:

• The need for improved cycling and walking facilities
• The need for more frequent bus services
• The condition and maintenance of the roads and pavements

These comments and concerns have been passed on to the relevant teams within the Transportation Service, These teams will take the comments into consideration and take action where appropriate.
