Buckingham

The Buckingham Local Community Area has a population of almost 25,000 comprising a total of thirty-three parishes.  The main centres within the area are Buckingham and Steeple Claydon, although the key urban areas of Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Brackley and Bicester also provide important services.  The A421 is a key route for the community linking Milton Keynes with the Cherwell Valley and the A413 provides access to Aylesbury and the south of the county. The A422 north of Buckingham provides a link to Banbury, Northampton, Bedfordshire and beyond.

Transport Matters event

This event gave the public the opportunity to make comments on the AAP and transport in the local area. The main issues raised are as follows:.

  • Concern that development will bring extra traffic to the area
  • The condition and maintenance of the roads and pavements

These comments and concerns have been passed on to the relevant teams within the Transportation Service, These teams will take the comments into consideration and take action where appropriate.
