Aylesbury
The Aylesbury Local Community Area (see figure 1) covers the town of Aylesbury, and the adjoining settlements of Bierton with Broughton, Hulcott, Watermead, Quarrendon, Stoke Mandeville, Weedon and Coldharbour. The population of this wider area exceeds 69,000 and it is the second largest settlement in Buckinghamshire.
The transport network for Aylesbury has seven clearly identifiable radial routes leading from the town centre:
- A41 (High Street to Tring Road)
- A418 (Vale Park Drive to Bierton Road)
- A413 (Buckingham Road - North to Buckingham)
- A41 (Gatehouse Road to Bicester Road)
- A418 (Oxford Road - South west to Thame)
- B4443 (Mandeville Road to Stoke Road)
- A413 (Walton Street to Wendover Road).

Transport Matters Event
This event, held in June, gave the public the opportunity to make comments on the AAP and transport in the local area. The main issues raised are as follows:
- The need to extend bus services to serve all residential areas and on Sundays
- The need to develop more cycle ways
- Speeding traffic in residential areas
These comments and concerns have been passed on to the relevant teams within the Transportation Service, These teams will take the comments into consideration and take action where appropriate.
