Dial a Ride

If you live in the district area for your scheme and find it difficult or impossible to use existing public transport, you will be welcomed as a member. Members are often elderly, frail or have mental health problems or learning difficulties - permanent or temporary, but you don’t need to be elderly or a wheelchair user to join.

You will need to register with your scheme by telephoning the appropriate number, as above. The cost is usually £5 payable annually.

All of the services are available Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and can be hired for special trips at other times when available.

Members can go shopping, to work, visit friends, attend day centres, doctors’ surgeries, social events. Any kind of trip you want to make.

Fares are roughly equivalent to bus fares for a similar journey.

All vehicles are fully accessible and have passenger lifts, shallow steps, grab rails, enhanced safety equipment and safety locking secure tracking for wheelchairs.

To comment or complain please write to "The Chairman" of the relevant scheme
