Cycling on the road
Cycling is permitted in most bus lanes and there are some shared-use routes with pedestrians. These paths are clearly signed.
Cycling on the pavement
Some cycle routes are on pavements where pedestrians have priority.
Cycling by canals
You may need a cycle permit for certain sections, these are available free from British Waterways.
