Know where you want to go but don't know how to get there by bus? Get a journey plan giving you times of the buses you will need to catch to get you to your destination on time

Catching the bus is easy, follow these top tips:

• Pre-plan your trip, visit the traveline website or call 0871 200 22 33 calls cost 10p per minute plus network charges - for travel information, location of bus stops, route and fare details.
• Arrive 5 minutes before your bus is due to depart
• Stand where the driver can see you
• Check the bus is the right one looking at the route destination display on the front e.g. 326 Booker
• Raise your hand to let the driver know you want the bus to stop
• Have the correct fare and be ready to pay on boarding
• If you have a concession card, have it ready to show the driver
• Once you've boarded just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. 
• Don't forget to ring the bell when you need to get off, and remain seated until you arrive at your stop
