This scheme helps businesses comply with the law improving consumer protection. It brings together a list of gardeners, plumbers, builders and many other types of business, all of which have been individually checked for trustworthiness and compliance with consumer protection laws.

Licences
Sales of fireworks
An annual licence enables sales year-round (subject to legal constraints).
Registration enables supply and sales during the following periods:
- 15th Oct - 10th Nov
- 26th Dec - 31st Dec
- Chinese New Year and three days preceding
- Diwali, and three days preceding
Training hub for retailers
The Office of Fair Trading has provided a comprehensive and up to date guidance on the Sale of Goods Act (SOGA) for retailers and business support organisations. The hub is a training tool for retailers to provide information to their staff around the issues that they deal with on a day to day basis. It is really useful for independent traders.
