Local Development Frameworks (LDF)
Like Regional Spatial Strategies such as the South East Plan, LDFs form part of the Development Plans system. Replacing the Local Plans component of the previous system, and with significantly different procedures involved in their preparation. LDFs set out detailed proposals for new development and environmental protection at the local level. Every district and unitary council has to prepare an LDF for their area.
We also have a major responsibility for LDF preparation in our role as the minerals and waste planning authority for Buckinghamshire.
