Admission to Buckinghamshire secondary schools September 2010 - August 2011

These pages are for parents with a child about to start school for the first time or moving to a new one. They will help you decide which school you want your child to attend and how to apply.

You can contact individual schools directly for more information, a prospectus or to arrange a visit.

Applying for a school place for the first time

If your child was born between 1 September 2006 - 31 August 2007 you will need to apply for a school place for September 2011. You can apply online from 30 October 2010. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2011.

Transferring from an infant school to a junior/combined school in September 2011

You can apply online from 30 October 2010. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2011.

Transferring from a primary school to a secondary school in September 2011

You can apply online from 1 September 2010. The closing date for applications is 31st October 2010.

All other school applications now have to be made via the local authority. You will need to contact the Admissions & Transport team for an application form, or you can download a form from our website.

We try to make sure as many children as possible are offered places at one of their preferred schools. During the application process we will keep you information and offer you support.
