Rural towns initiative
We're working in partnership with South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and South East Rural Towns Partnership (SERTP) to promote the market towns initiative led by the Countryside Agency.
It includes a healthcheck which helps communities to:
- identify their town’s economic, social, environmental and transport strengths and weaknesses
- decide what their town should be like in the future
- plan actions and projects which, when funded, will make change happen
Of the nineteen eligible towns in Buckinghamshire, many have completed healthchecks and some have produced action plans which are shown below.
