Black Park lake

We have five country parks:

Black Park
Langley Park
Denham Country Park
Thorney Country Park
Stockgrove Country Park

Our beautiful parks are open every day of the year and offer hundreds of acres of woodland, heathland and parkland with lakes and rivers. The varied scenery offers many opportunities to discover wildlife.

You could try orienteering, go cycling, horse riding or explore the miles of track on foot.

Both Black Park and Langley Park offer accessible paths for wheelchair and pushchair access, and mobility scooters are available at Black Park (please contact site to book). For other accessible walks with wheelchairs and pushchairs, please see the links below.

Car parking

Car parking is £2.50 per day which allows you to park at Black Park, Langley Park and Denham Country Park.

Annual car park permits are available at £45 covering Black Park, Langley Park and Denham Country Park. Also available is gift certificate for an annual car park permit. See below below for the application forms.

The above car parks have height barriers with a maximum height of 2 metres (6' 6"). Black Park has a movable barrier which can be opened to cater for large vehicles (e.g. minibuses). Please pre-book with as much notice as possible.

Unfortunately we can't accommodate horse boxes in the car parks.

There is no car park at Thorney Country Park.

Stockgrove car parking is a £1 donation. Please phone (01525 237760) for opening times.

Green Flag Award

This is a national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales. It is judged every year. Black Park has been awarded the Green Flag for the fourth year running.

Go Ape - Tree Top Adventure

Do you think you, your friends and family can handle 3 hours of tree top adventure? Are you wild enough to climb 9 metres up a rope ladder, Tarzan swing into a giant rope net then zip wire through trees, crawl through tunnels and tackle high wire rope bridges? If the answer's yes, you're ready to Go Ape!

We are pleased to announce that a new Go Ape course has opened in Black Park along with a new San Remo refreshment kiosk.

Height and weight restrictions apply
Under 18's must be supervised by a participating adult

Black Park cafe ( SanRemo)

The cafe has been refurbished and is now open. The menu includes sandwiches & paninis, hot lunches, all day breakfast, beverages and a children's menu together with home made soup and pasta dishes. Prices start from £2.50.

Rangers

Rangers are always available to assist visitors, either out on-site or at the Visitor Centre at Black Park.

They are responsible for maintaining the parks for recreation, conservation and commercial forestry. They also ensure the parks are clean, tidy and well presented.

They also promote the parks to community groups, including parish councils, history societies, the WI, gardening groups and Film Studios.
