Community libraries

Community libraries are no longer managed by Buckinghamshire County Council but are now managed by local community organisations and run by volunteers. Buckinghamshire library membership cards are valid in all the community libraries listed above and items can still be reserved from anywhere in Buckinghamshire for collection from these libraries.

Data protection

Buckinghamshire County Council has entered into a Service Level Agreement with the organisations managing all of the above Community Libraries. This agreement includes access to the data held in the Buckinghamshire Library Management System.

Community Library access to and use of this data will be in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. The Community Library has entered into a Data Sharing Protocol with Buckinghamshire County Council to that effect.
