Located in the market town of Winslow, the centre offers a range of public services to local residents, including a library, adult and family learning and a day centre for adults with learning disabilities.

A small café ‘Options’ also runs at the centre offering hot drinks and delicious cakes at very reasonable prices - more information below.

The centre also houses our area transportation team - please make sure you ring ahead if you wish to meet with anyone from this team.

There is ample parking available.

We have rooms and excellent outdoor sports facilities for hire.

Library

The library is in its own building on the site. You can browse and borrow books, magazines, DVDs, CDs and computer games or surf the internet, check your webmail and view MS Office documents on our public computers.

There are regular storytime sessions and holiday activities for children.

Adult and Family Learning

We offer a wide range of subjects and classes at the centre, including foreign languages, creative writing, British Sign Language, oil painting and pottery,  a range of dance and keep fit classes, bricklaying, flower arranging, complementary therapies including ITEC qualifications, the Certificate in Fitness Instructing and more.

Day centre for people with learning disabilities

If you think you or someone you know might be interested in making use of our day centre facilities then they will first need to be assessed by our Adult Social Care Services. If you have already been assessed as being in need of our services please speak to your Care Manager.

Options coffee shop

The shop sells hot/cold drinks and cakes. It is run by people with learning disabilities with a little support from helpers.  The shop provides people with learning disabilities the chance to practice skills serving customers, preparing tables, clearing away and money handling. There are also ‘behind the scenes role’ preparing the food sold in the coffee shop.

Everyone involved gets a lot of satisfaction from doing their jobs and take pride in their achievements and enjoy the social stimulation of meeting customers and providing a friendly service.

Open Monday to Friday from 9.30–2pm.
