Street parties and other celebration events

Street parties are a popular way for residents to celebrate major national days of celebration such as Coronations, Royal Weddings and Jubilees. They are a good excuse to get to know your neighbours and can build stronger communities, bringing together people of all ages.

Toolkit

Public Liability insurance grants

Grants of up to £50 will be allocated to the first 100 public liability insurance certificates (or copies of) received for a Diamond Jubilee or London 2012 Games event. Insurance documents should be either emailed to buckscc2012@buckscc.gov.uk or posted to 2012 Programme Team, County Hall, Walton Street, Aylesbury HP20 1UA.

Terms and conditions:

• A copy of an events public liability insurance certificate must be received by the 2012 Programme Team
• Only community organisations specifically celebrating the Diamond Jubilee or London 2012 Games events will be eligible for the grant
• The first 100 certificates received in date/time order will be successful
• Grants are up to £50, if the insurance cost is under £50 the grant will only cover the actual amount
• Faxed copies of insurance certificates will not be accepted
• Our decision is final
