Social care jobs

Branch out with training

Social care provides the opportunity to make a real difference. That’s why we offer the best training for both new and returning social workers for many miles around.

We currently have a variety of Social Care job vacancies within Social Care Services. If you are interested please call 01296 383366 or email recruitment@buckscc.gov.uk for more information.

If you are a qualified social worker interested in resuming your career, we are pleased to fund a structured Return to Social Work course.  This programme helps you to refine your skills and complete the necessary supervision requirement to restore your registration with the General Social Care Council (GSCC).  We would like to hear from qualified social workers within children’s services or anyone looking to retrain from an adult service background.

We pride ourselves on our open and friendly style of management. You'll feel valued as part of the team. You will have an appraisal each year - this is your chance to review work, agree new objectives and identify your training and development needs.  You will also have regular one-to-one meetings with your manager to discuss your caseload and personal development.  In addition, we are committed to providing further support through mentoring and financial help for work related professional qualifications.

Working with children

The Audit Commission  have recently awarded:

  • The whole council 4 out of 4
  • Children and Young People's Services and Adult Social Care 3 out of 4

With your help, we can continue to improve and offer the best services to our residents.
