Serious acquisitive crime

Serious acquisitive crime includes domestic burglary (homes), theft of or from a motor vehicle and robbery (people and business).
These types of crime are a priority in Buckinghamshire, as well as across the country, as they take up a lot of police time and cause great distress to victims. It is a crime people often hear often and, although the numbers in the county are relatively low, hearing about these crimes causes people to feel unsafe.
Raising public awareness and encouraging preventative activity is key to reducing crime. Many people are unaware that there are often simple precautions they can take to hugely reduce the chance of being a crime victim. Our aim is to make sure everyone is aware of these precautions and is supported if they need extra help.
