Buckinghamshire in Business has funds from the European Union to help improve and develop the Information Technology (IT) skills of people in businesses throughout the region.

Business Link customers can take advantage of the following:

  • Instant IT Skills - six hour tutor led workshops - £30 per delegate
  • Technology Solutions - chose from email for marketing and customer service, building and hosting a free web site or IT security - 30 hours of learning, including a one-day workshop, manual and on-line tools and support - £60 per module
  • Get Qualified - build IT skills and turn them into qualifications over six weeks - price on application

Buckingham Business Club

Buckingham Business Club is a networking forum for businesses in the Buckingham area. Lunch and evening meetings are held monthly and a business exhibition is held annually. The club has close links with Aylesbury Vale District Council and Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce. Membership is free of charge. For more information visit the club's website.

Renewable energy for sustainable tourism (REST)

The REST project is funded by the European Union's Altener programme and can provide between 50-100% funding for the cost of an energy audit and renewable energy assessment and action plan in the hotel sector. The funding is available to Hotels and larger guest houses across the South-East.

Action Energy

Action Energy is a new initiative from the government's Energy Best Practice Programme providing consultancy help focussing on individual business needs.  Free services include telephone advice, site visits, publications and online information.  Energy Action can be contacted on 0800 585794.

Aylesbury Training Group

The Aylesbury Training Group provides a range of workforce training opportunities and is an approved training and assessment centre.

Buckinghamshire Adult Learning

Our Adult Learning service provides small businesses with the essential learning, skills and training required to prosper in today's quickly evolving business environments.

Buckinghamshire Economic & Learning Partnership

The Buckinghamshire Economic & Learning Partnership's website has information about online learning opportunities for businesses as well as useful links to learning providers.

Ngage

Ngage provides businesses in the Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire area with impartial business advice and information and provides a calendar of events.

Corporate Environmental Advisory Centre (CEAC)

The centre supports environmental management in business and responds to the needs of the regional business community, through provision of training, site visits and published guidance. CEAC is funded through a wide range of regional partners and services are provided at nominal cost or free.

Education Business Partnership (EBP)

The EBP organises a number of business/education activities and getting your business involved will raise the profile of your organisation within the community.

e-generation

e-generation provides a one stop shop of environmental information and advice for businesses in the Thames Valley area, particularly those small to medium in size, to implement improvements in their environmental performance, which should lead to increased efficiency, competitiveness and reduced costs.

Milton Keynes & North Bucks Chamber

Milton Keynes & North Bucks Chamber provides public training courses as well as training tailored to a company's specific requirements

Thames Valley Chamber
