Supporting People

Our mission statement:

‘Working in partnership to identify the vulnerable adults and young people over the age of 16 in Buckinghamshire, to identify their specific short and/or long-term support needs and to meet these needs through the commissioning of high quality support services.’

Supporting People offers vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life by providing a stable environment which enables greater independence, and reduces the need for people to unnecessarily move into a residential setting.

We offer support to:

  • people with learning disabilities and mental health problems;
  • vulnerable young people;
  • homeless people;
  • older people who need support;
  • people with physical disabilities;
  • people at risk of offending;
  • people with drug or alcohol problems;
  • people who need to escape domestic violence;
  • people with HIV/AIDS;
  • teenage parents;
  • travellers and refugees
