Supporting People

Supporting People is a government run programme which helps fund local organisations who provide housing related support.

These organisations offer support with sheltered accomodation or in the home to:

  • people with learning disabilities and mental health problems
  • vulnerable young people
  • homeless people
  • older people who need support
  • people with physical disabilities
  • people at risk of offending
  • people with drug or alcohol problems
  • people who need to escape domestic violence
  • people with HIV/AIDS
  • teenage parents
  • travellers and refugees
